The lack of high-quality arable land is one of the reasons why the people of Rakljan engaged in supplementary work, fishing, seafaring and pottery, thanks to which they became widely known. The knowledge of making pots was passed down from generation to generation, but also within the village community. Entire families were engaged in the production of pottery products, and everyone participated in the preparation, production and sale of pots as needed.

Vinko Malinari\u0107, 1972.

Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia
Photo archive of the Conservation Department in Rijeka
<\/strong>Inv.
