The organ dates back to 1787 and is one of the oldest and best preserved in the country. The organ attracts attention thanks to the extremely rich and high-quality ornamented case and the expressively presented angel musicians. Although the place of their manufacture is not known, it is not impossible that this meticulously made organ, both from the sound and visual point of departure, was brought even from Vienna. II-10096<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Organs, queens among musical instruments, companions of St. Cecilia and symphonic ensembles, which originated in antiquity as hydraulis (the distant ancestors of today\u2019s sea organs in Zadar!) and were gilded during the Baroque period\u2014especially thanks to Bach\u2019s virtuosity\u2014were the focus of systematic study and protection during the Musical Instrument Protection campaign carried out by the national conservation service from 1972 to 1975.<\/p>\n<p>During this three-year fieldwork, aimed at documenting, systematizing, evaluating, and appropriately safeguarding musical instruments across the Republic of Croatia, just under 800 organs\u2014mostly of monumental significance\u2014were recorded, and a total of 5,462 photographs were taken.
